INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
Here are the educational resources that my CT and I used throughout my teaching internship. I put my best into making each of them, not just to display in the classroom, rather I made these with my all effort to make them durable and cost effective.
COMPARIGATOR
Compa means "to compare"
Rigator cames from "Alligator"
The material was utilized to compare greater and lesser numbers. Students must select a number from the range and move the alligator's mouth to the location where the larger number will be eaten up.
COOKIES
IN A JAR
The educational resource was developed to assist students get better at solving addition. It can also manipulate the materials because it was detachable. The teacher has simply written the number below then students will place the cookies on the first jar with the quantity written there, as well as on the other jar. Afterward, students will next add/subtract all of the cookies from the first and second jars.
I CAN PROTECT MYSELF FROM HARM
I came with this IM so learners could see the real scenario if it happens to them. The things such as knife, cutter, fork and scissors are also detachable. It was engaging IM because students can also predict what might happen to them if they used those dangerous things.
I CAN PROTECT MYSELF FROM HARM
It was also manipulative material so learners could see the real scenario if it happens to them and in the environment. The things such as lighter, candle, match and lamp are also detachable. It was engaging IM because students can also predict what might happen to them and in their environment if they play those unsafe things.
CHOKING HAZARD
One of the IMs I loved was this one; it's not only a kid; it's more than that. His mouth, nose, and ears all had holes similar to ours. I came up with this concept to help my students visualize what may occur if they inserted little objects in their ears, noses, and mouths.
BIG DICE
Top of all the IMs I made, yes it was just a dice but the enjoyment it brought during the teaching and learning was worthwhile.
FRUITS' STORE
This IM is a fruit stores (2) that taught the learners how to be a vendor and a customer, enhance their numeracy skills -counting and addition, and values may obtained such as being honest on buying or as a vendor. The baskets had fruits inside of it and it was detachable. Learners will just tell how many fruits they will buy and the vendor will place the fruits with the amount he/she will buy. And learners will just add all the fruits from store first and second store.
